We rebuilt the contract board. It used to be an eight-field form. Now it is a console: you tap when, how many of you and where — the roster assembles itself and all that is left is to confirm. ⏱ The hour bar. Twenty-four columns showing when the servers are actually busy. Not a guess — our own Steam samples every 10 minutes. Tap an hour and the run is set for it. 🩺 Roles, not “looking for a team”. Assault, medic, support, scout, driver,
A British studio put the Ukrainian song “Reve ta stohne Dnipr shyrokyi” into the trailer for its shooter. We were the first Ukrainian outlet to notice — and it is no coincidence: the game has three factions, and the conflict on its maps openly echoes real ones.
The test closed on 24 August at 02:00 UTC. In three days roughly half a million different people tried the game, and on concurrent players WARDOGS passed Squad and Arma. For a game with no advertising budget at the big showcases, that is the strongest argument it could make before launch.
On Sunday the test hit its maximum: 105,774 players at once on Steam. Two days earlier it was 92,595 — so the audience grew across the whole weekend instead of falling away after the first evening. And that was the same week as the Call of Duty beta and a major Battlefield 6 update.

The studio has committed to adding no in-game purchases for the duration of early access — the single exception being an optional Supporter Pack of cosmetics. Instead there is stepped pricing: the earlier you come in, the less you pay. For a game whose whole economy rests on in-game money, that is a promise of principle.
BULKHEAD and Team17 have named the early access date and opened Steam pre-orders. The standard edition costs $39.99, the Supporter Edition $49.99 and adds cosmetics only. Every pre-order came with guaranteed access to the closed beta on 21–23 August.
Where the news comes from
Four sources we watch ourselves
A robot checks them every 10 minutes, weekends included: Steam News for both apps (the main game and the playtest), the build number through Steam — which shows a patch before the notes are out, the store page (price, release date) and BULKHEAD's official Discord through a bridge into our server. The moment something changes, an alert fires and we write it up.
The rule we do not break
Every fact carries a label. Confirmed means there is an official source or we saw it in the game ourselves. Rumour means it came from press, leaks or the community and has not been verified. We would rather stamp “rumour” and stay boring than write something pretty and be wrong. The source is always named.
