According to analytics firm Newzoo, in September WARDOGS became the number one PC game by revenue combined across six countries at once: the United States, Britain, Germany, France, Spain, and Italy. The result stands out even more given the game was only three weeks into early access at the time.
Who's behind
In the same revenue ranking, Fortnite placed second, EA Sports FC 27 third, and Valorant fourth. Counter-Strike 2 came in only eleventh.
By player count
Counting monthly players instead of revenue, WARDOGS' position among PC games is more modest — eleventh place.
Analyst's take
Newzoo cites WARDOGS as an example that a full price tag isn't necessary to compete in the market.
"Players are buying the game eagerly. Whether they'll stick around will be shown by Season 3."
