On 7 September BULKHEAD announced that WARDOGS dedicated servers can now be pre-ordered from two approved partners: QONZER and BisectHosting. They go live on 10 September, the day the game enters Early Access. That is all the studio said; the details and prices had to be gathered from the hosts' own pages, which is what we did.
QONZER: prices, locations, hardware
QONZER sells dedicated resources rather than "slots": each package comes with its own number of CPU threads, while memory and storage are unlimited.
▫️ 60 slots — 8 threads, £49.95 a month.
▫️ 80 slots — 10 threads, £59.95 a month.
▫️ 100 slots — 12 threads, £69.95 a month.
Paying quarterly saves 5%, semi-annually 10%, annually 15% (60 slots for a year come to £509.49). There is a 7-day money-back guarantee and no contracts: you can drop the server any month. The page warns of "extremely high demand" for pre-orders and promises to activate the server before the game is released.
European locations are Warsaw, Frankfurt, Paris and London; there are six more in the US, plus Singapore, Sydney and Tokyo. For players in Ukraine the closest one is Warsaw.
The hardware is the same in every location: AMD EPYC Zen 5 (9474F or 9455), DDR5, Samsung enterprise NVMe, two 10 Gbit links. The servers are bare metal, no virtualization. QONZER says it holds a locked 30 Hz tick rate, which it calls the game's own ceiling. DDoS protection is included, and you get full access to the server files, mod support and the company's own qPanel3 control panel.
BisectHosting: prices not shown yet
The second partner is keeping its prices under wraps for now: the page shows "..." instead of a sum. Only the packages are known: 60 players with 24 GB of RAM, 80 players with 28 GB, 100 players with 32 GB. They promise 21 locations, Ryzen CPUs, NVMe storage, free DDoS protection, 24/7 support and a panel with community tools: who is on the server now, when they were last online, who is allowed to join. The long-term discounts are bigger than QONZER's: 10% quarterly, 15% semi-annually, 20% annually.
BisectHosting's main caveat: a pre-order only reserves your spot. You will not be able to join the server before the official launch on 10 September.
Promo code MrGamerTee: real, but not for WARDOGS yet
QONZER accepts the promo code MrGamerTee: the cart confirms a "15% Recurring Discount", i.e. a discount for the whole term, not just the first month. But it does not cover the WARDOGS package yet: when we applied the code to a pre-order (we tried the monthly, quarterly and annual cycles), the store replied that no items in the cart qualify for the promotion. That may change once the game is out and the package stops being a pre-order, so it is worth trying the code again at checkout.
What is still unknown
The studio has not explained how a community server will differ from an official one: whether progression, money and XP persist on it, which settings the admin gets, whether there will be ready-made mode presets. Under the announcement players are already asking for a full list of what an admin can see and change. As soon as BULKHEAD answers, we will update this article.
A WARDOGSHUB server?
We are thinking about getting our own server: Ukrainian, with our rules and our people. The decision depends on you: if you would play on such a server, leave a reaction under the post on our channel. If enough people want it, we buy one.
