A peak of 105,774 concurrent players — and that is still before launch

On Sunday the test hit its maximum: 105,774 players at once on Steam. Two days earlier it was 92,595 — so the audience grew across the whole weekend instead of falling away after the first evening. And that was the same week as the Call of Duty beta and a major Battlefield 6 update.

On Sunday 23 August the WARDOGS playtest hit its peak: 105,774 concurrent players on Steam. Not an estimate and not a rumour — the number is public, and our own collector saw it too.

The curve matters more than the peak

Two days earlier it was 92,595. The audience grew across the whole weekend instead of collapsing after the first evening — which is what usually happens to tests people join out of curiosity. They came back on day two and day three.

Context makes it sharper: the same week carried a Call of Duty beta and a major Battlefield 6 update. WARDOGS did not gather its hundred thousand in an empty calendar.

How we know

We do not retell someone else's charts: our collector polls the public Steam API every ten minutes since 24 August and builds its own history. It is on the stats page — by day, week and month, with records. After the 10 September launch the same curve will show how many of those people stayed.
