OUTCOME What was announced: the #WARDOGS100K clip contest — one grand prize of $100,000 in cash and 99 prizes of 100,000 in-game currency. Entries close at 23:59 BST on 8 October, winners are named on 15 October.

Why a studio runs its own show
BULKHEAD makes no secret of the story: they were asked for around 300 thousand dollars for 60 seconds of trailer at a major industry showcase. Instead of paying, they put together their own show and invited other teams — free, with no paid slots in the running order. Sixteen studios agreed.
BULKHEAD's CEO Joe Brammer puts it like this: shooters have held the industry up for over thirty years and have no celebration of their own, so they made one. That context matters here: the show is run by the same studio that makes WARDOGS, and they naturally kept the game's headline announcement for themselves.
The format is pre-recorded rather than a live studio: trailers, gameplay and news for each game in one block. The runtime has not been announced.
What was announced for WARDOGS
CONFIRMED The official WARDOGS account announced the show with the words “we have some interesting announcements”, and the studio itself says the game's reveal will be big and, in their words, unexpected. The date is exactly one week before the Early Access launch on 10 September.
OUR GUESSES, BEFORE THE SHOW None of them turned out right — we leave them here rather than quietly deleting them:
Factions. The community's main question: do LONESTAR, VALKYRA and MANTICORE differ in gameplay, or is it just the color of the patch? There has been no answer since the first showing — this is the perfect moment to give one.
A new map or region. Three maps at launch — Kavkazi, Europe and North America, with Moscow announced; one more as “one more surprise before release” is a standard move at this timing.
A mode outside the main one. Something shorter than a full raid — what the people who find a 100-player deployment too long keep asking for.
Consoles or the 1.0 roadmap. The dullest option, and the most likely “big announcement” a week before launch.
