On the left, what you carry on you: the gun with its attachments, armor, the vest. On the right, the pack — and space in it is counted in cells, not slots: every item has a shape, and a full pack can refuse the thing you wanted. Weight, cost and free space update while you pick.
A pack's capacity is the game's own item description, word for word: “Grid: 5x5 Item Storage Slots · Number of Slots: 21” — not somebody's estimate. The shape of the grid is derived from those same numbers: if width times height exceeds the stated slot count, the surplus is cut from the corners. Of the nine containers in the game only the Assault Backpack needs it.
The weight thresholds are 10, 17, 27 and 40 kg. We show the edge rather than a label: how many kilograms are left before the next class. A magazine in the wrong caliber is never offered — that is the most common mistake in a kit.
Whether an item can be rotated 90° is not something we have verified in the game, so the R key exists but nothing rotates silently. Keys: Del remove, R rotate, D duplicate, A add an item, Esc close the picker.
